Publishers Association protest against increase in fee of NOCs issuence

Lahore(State Observer)Fawaz Niaz, President of the Textbook Publishers Association, along with other officials of the Punjab Textbook Publishers Association, protested in Urdu Bazaar against the increase in the fee for issuing NOCs to the Textbook Publishers Association from 2000 to 4.5 lakh. Addressing the protest, he said that the Punjab Textbook Board was acting reluctantly and was not giving a timeline for the issuance of NOCs. Giving an eight-month timeline for issuance. Doing so will affect thousands of workers and shopkeepers along with their children’s schooling. He said that last year the fee for issuing NOC was Rs 2,000. It has been increased to four and a half lakh. With such decisions, those in the bureaucracy are harming Imran Khan’s educational vision. “We demand that the NOC be issued to us immediately and that the fees be the same as last year,” he said.
